Founded in 1986

Founded in 1986 by Terry Dudley and Maurice White, D&W Mechanical began with a simple but powerful belief: do honest work, take care of people and never lose sight of the customer experience. From the very beginning in Traverse City, Michigan, the company was built on traditional business values. Show up, do what you say you’ll do and treat every heating and cooling project with care and pride. Early on, we learned that the strength of our HVAC and plumbing solutions is only as strong as the people delivering them. That understanding shaped everything that followed, driving us to hire, train and retain the most skilled, dependable professionals in the HVAC and plumbing industry.

Today, under the continued leadership of owners Terry Dudley and Jack Ocobock, alongside their sons, those same values remain at the heart of D&W Mechanical. We’re especially proud of the multigenerational team we’ve built, including 10 father-and-son duos working side by side, passing down knowledge, craftsmanship and respect for the trade. That commitment to people, family and mentorship is what allows us to deliver trusted residential and commercial HVAC and plumbing solutions throughout Traverse City and Northern Michigan.
