Ownership

David Dudley

Owner / Commercial Project Manager / Estimator / Design Build

David Dudley is a recent co-owner at D&W Mechanical. Raised around the business, David developed an early appreciation for hard work, craftsmanship, and the importance of building long-term relationship

David plays an integral role in design-build coordination, estimating, and project management, helping guide projects from early concept through completion. His hands-on involvement allows him to collaborate closely with owners, architects, and general contractors to develop practical, cost-effective mechanical solutions while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and performance in the field.

In addition to overseeing active projects, David contributes to company operations and strategic planning as D&W transitions into its next generation of ownership. He is focused on strengthening internal systems, investing in people, and preserving the family-oriented culture that has defined the company for four decades, while positioning it for long-term, sustainable growth.

Outside of work, David values time with his wife and children, and supporting the Traverse City community that D&W Mechanical has proudly served for decades.

Jack Ocobock Jr

Owner / Commercial Project Manager / Estimator

Jack, a recent co-owner of D&W Mechanical, began his career with the company at 15 and has over 15 years of hands-on experience. Following in his father’s footsteps, he remains deeply connected to the work, the team, and the customers who drive the company’s success.

Jack also directs the Residential Plumbing/Mechanical Department, overseeing estimating, project management, and fleet operations to ensure projects are safe, on schedule, and within budget. He maintains high standards of quality and craftsmanship while supporting the field professionals who bring each project to successful completion.

Jack is known for his strong work ethic, industry expertise, and commitment to lasting customer relationships. He holds multiple professional licenses and certifications, including Master Plumber, Plumbing Contractor, Boiler Installer, Mechanical Contractor, and ASSE/ASME Medical Gas Certifications.

He works guide the company’s growth while upholding D&W Mechanical’s core values of integrity, responsiveness, community involvement, safety, and mentorship of future trades professionals.

Outside of work, Jack serves on a local school board and enjoys family life with his wife and four children, including snow sports, camping, 4-H activities, attending the Tabernacle, and a shared love of old tractors.


Leadership

Jack Ocobock

Commercial Project Manager / Estimator

Jack has been involved in the industry since 1985 in many different roles until accepting the opportunity to work with D&W in 2007. In 2019, with the retirement of one of the founders of the company, he has helped with the reorganization by entering into an ownership role. He continues to support the company as a general manager of operations as well as an estimator and project manager. He is always working to help the growth of D&W Mechanical and the community. Currently, Jack is also president at the Builder’s Exchange of Northwest Michigan. He is also a supporter of local 4-H.

Terry Dudley

Commercial Project Manager / Estimator / Design Build

Terry oversees all divisions and is responsible for business development, marketing, and employee relations. He designs plumbing and HVAC systems, estimates and manages many of the company’s commercial, and design-build projects. He holds Michigan licenses as a Master Plumber, Plumbing Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, and Boiler installer. Terry began his career in mechanical contracting as a Journeyman and later, as a Master Plumber in his family’s plumbing and heating business. He is a past president of the Builders Exchange of Northwest Michigan.

Eric White

Commercial Estimator / Project Manager

Eric has over 30 years of experience at D&W Mechanical in the commercial plumbing & heating division. The first part as an installer, where he earned his Michigan master plumbing license. His primary role is estimating and project managing plan/spec and design/build commercial projects. With this, he enjoys the challenges along with the creative problem-solving that his job presents him. In his spare time, Eric enjoys various outdoor activities such as kayaking and hiking, playing guitar, and of course, quality time spent with his family and friends. At work during his lunch breaks he also enjoys the occasional office prank (“nope, haven’t seen your stapler”), crafting (rubber band balls, paper-clip sculptures), and also copy-machine self-portraits.

Bob Zywicki

Commercial Project Manager / Estimator

Bobby has been with D&W Mechanical for over 18 years, building his career from plumbing apprentice to journeyman and jobsite foreman before moving into his current role as Project Manager and Estimator.

With extensive hands-on field experience, Bobby brings practical leadership and technical expertise to every project. He has led crews on complex commercial and industrial work, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. His leadership approach is rooted in teamwork, accountability, and a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Bobby takes pride in developing strong field teams, mentoring the next generation of tradespeople, and delivering projects that uphold D&W Mechanical’s long-standing reputation for excellence.

Jim Walczak

Service Department Manager

Jim has 20 years of field experience in the high tech commercial, industrial, and residential HVAC/R service industry. He is the driving force behind the area’s leading HVAC service provider. Jim is a journeyman HVAC mechanic that prides himself on providing old world craftsmanship with new world technology, all while keeping the customer’s needs as his top priority. Jim and his family truly love living in northern Michigan and take advantage of all the beautiful area has to offer.

Andy loveland

Residential Project Manager / Estimator

For more than three decades, Andy Loveland has been a driving force in the plumbing and HVAC industry—turning complex designs into fully realized, high-performance residential systems. As a Project Manager and Estimator, Andy specializes in designing and developing residential new construction plumbing and heating systems that power some of the largest and most intricate builds in the region.

With over 30 years in the HVAC industry, including 26+ years in the field, he has had the privilege of leading highly skilled crews. Andy brings unmatched hands-on expertise and leadership to every project. He doesn’t just manage jobs; he builds teams of competent tradesmen who execute with precision, efficiency, and pride. From blueprint to final inspection, Andy ensures every detail meets the highest standard of craftsmanship.

But his commitment to service extends far beyond the jobsite.

For 21 years, Andy dedicated himself to volunteering in the fire department—answering the call when his community needed him most. That same courage, discipline, and reliability define his professional life.

When he’s not coordinating complex builds or serving his community, Andy finds his freedom outdoors—off-roading rugged terrain, camping under open skies, and making lasting memories with his family. Whether navigating challenging landscapes or guiding large-scale construction projects, Andy thrives on leadership, resilience, and connection. He doesn’t just construct systems—he builds trust, teams, and a legacy of excellence.

Kyler aiken

Renovation Department Sales

Kyler Aiken is a part of the Renovations Division at D&W Mechanical, guiding mechanical renovation projects from the first conversation through final completion. He works closely with clients, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure projects stay on schedule, budget, and are completed safely and efficiently.

With eight years in the mechanical industry and experience across all aspects of the trades, Kyler brings practical, innovative perspective to every project. He holds his Universal EPA Refrigerant and WrightSoft Manual J load calculation certifications.

Kyler earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Northern Michigan University. Outside of work, he enjoys boating, fishing, and camping in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with his family.

Born and raised in Traverse City, after completing High School, Shawn continued his education and obtained an associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering, He landed in the field of emergency communications service and repair for Motorola.

His HVAC career started in 2001 where he became a licensed HVAC service technician, to include NATE and EPA Certifications in service.  Three years later he was promoted to generate and manage service maintenance agreements.

Shawn started is career at In 2013, D&W Mechanical in  2013 where he has been managing Service Maintenance Agreements, with the added benefit to expand into HVAC sales. 

From hands-on experience to building relationships with our customers, weather in the field supporting technicians to in office designing and proposing projects, his goal is to provide the level of service that exceeds expectations.

When not on the job, he enjoys spending time with his children and Granddaughters, doing home projects and enjoying life with his wife either traveling or on the water.

Pieter Guzinski

Renovation Department Sales

Pieter Guzinski brings over 30 years of experience in the mechanical industry, delivering knowledgeable, hands-on expertise to every project. Throughout his career, Pieter has taken pride in helping customers successfully navigate their projects, ensuring quality workmanship and practical solutions tailored to their needs.

He holds his refrigerant certification and has extensive experience in custom sheet metal layout and fabrication. Pieter also enjoys the challenges and rewards of serving as a project manager, where he can combine technical skill with leadership to guide projects from concept to completion.

Outside of work, Pieter values spending time with his family and enjoying the outdoors.

With 31 years in the construction industry — including the last 20 focused exclusively on HVAC — Jason brings deep experience and practical expertise to every project he manages. Specializing in residential heating, cooling, and boiler retrofits, he understands the unique challenges that come with upgrading systems in existing homes.

Jason oversees multiple installation crews and is involved in every stage of a project, from estimating and system design to client education and quality control. He is known for his problem-solving mindset and ability to develop creative solutions that balance performance, efficiency, and long-term reliability.

Homeowners appreciate Jason’s clear communication, thoughtful planning, and commitment to doing the job right the first time. He takes pride in building lasting relationships and helping clients feel confident in their investment.

Outside of work, Jason is an avid golfer and boater, and he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family — especially supporting his child through college.

Renovation Department Sales

Jeff has more than 30 years of experience in the mechanical contracting business. His primary responsibilities are commercial and residential renovation design and sales. Jeff holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and is a state-licensed Mechanical Contractor.
